Food Advertisement

I found that this fast food product advertisement fit the topic as well as it could. As you can see, this magazine article is extremely misleading. To me, and I'm sure to others as well, it almost makes it seem like you can have it all in life; eat extremely unhealthy and also have the "couture" luxuries like Channel. This however is highly unlikely. I don't know a single person who could base their entire appetite on burgers and fries at your local fast food restaurant, and also have the ability to look luxurious in Channel products, or any high end designer wear for that matter. I think that this advertisement gives off the wrong meaning, and is very manipulative because it makes it seem like it is okay to eat badly. Of course a burger from McDonald's from time to time is alright, we are all human. But I think that this product advertisement persuades the viewers to buy these meals for all the wrong reasons. The burger and fries in general look extremely familiar to me. The very first thing I thought was that this was an ad for McDonald's, didn't you think so? I think that this ad can draw the attention from many different parties. Anywhere from young children or teens who love fast food, or maybe even adults who may be on the richer side and see this advertisement as humorous yet they don't realize that their minds subconsciously might be telling them, "I'd really love a burger right now". I think that although the ad is humorous, both the picture and the quote, it is very misleading and should be well observed and not taken literally when flipping through a magazine.
