My life
Hey guys, my name is Arianna Little and I'm originally from Sarasota, Florida. I was born in Sarasota on December 13th 1992, and lived there for twelve years up until my father got a new job which transferred us to Orlando. I've been living in Orlando for the past six years and have grown to love the town. My family is made up of my mother Tana, my father Tim, and my two younger sisters Nicole and Alaina. My whole family, including the extended relatives are all extremely close; my mother likes to tell me that, "I have no choice but to live in Florida forever, so that all of her children and grandchildren can grow up together." We'll just see about that. Unfortunately over the past five years I've had nearly two handfuls of dear family members pass away; I think this is the main reason why everyone in my family is so close because we've learned to depend on each other. I actually have an amazing tattoo on my back which represents my closest cousin who tragically passed four years ago. The tattoo is of a bird with the words, "My Sweet Angel" and "Thomas Samuel Thorne" written around it. Although I am deathly afraid of needles I've wanted it for as long as I can remember and love it more and more each day. During my freshman and sophomore year of high school I attended Bishop Moore Catholic, which I can honestly say I hated since day one. Although the school has an excellent education, it just didn't suit me and after two years my parents finally started to consider transferring me. Coincidentally during the summer before junior year I broke both of my ankles which resulted in me being nearly immobile for a couple months. Since Bishop Moore's buildings are very old, only one out of five buildings had elevators. The school's solution was to have me "teach myself" in the library the whole day and schedule once a week meetings with my teachers. Of course this wasn't going to work out, and I ended up enrolling about a month late to my public high school, West Orange my junior year. I successfully graduated my senior year only taking four classes a day with a 3.8. Sometimes I think back and wonder how much different my life would be if I didn't break my ankles because I highly doubt my parents would have ever allowed me to transfer. When I was able to play sports I participated in volleyball, swimming and basketball. I love being active and having a great time with my friends. I'm one of those girls who is extremely outgoing and always wanting to meet new people. I can be very sarcastic but I'll have you know that it's just my sense of humor. I have a best friend who is coincidentally my cousin, whom I've grown up with my whole life. His name is Derek and we could not be any more alike; and i mean common who wouldn't want to be best friends with themselves? I've been trying my best to convince him daily to join me at Gulf Coast next year, and well I can only hope he decides to! Not only are my family and friends a huge part of my life but there is also, music. I know so many people say that, but I truly mean it. I love everything from old school N'SYNC, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears to current day rap such as Lil Wayne, Eminem and Big Sean or mind-blowing reggae from bands like Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid and Mike Pinto. I'm not one of those listeners who enjoys radio music, as a matter of fact I never use the radio in my car. Instead I use my iPhone which has over thousands of songs of literally all genres. Depending on my mood will result in what music you hear playing from my bedroom or car. This may be unrealistic or funny to you, but I honestly believe that I am Dwayne Michael Carter Jr's (Lil Wayne) biggest fan. I have been to every tour he has ever had in the state of Florida, and just a month ago had front row seats to his latest "I Am Still Music Tour". One of the best shows of my life, let me tell you. I know absolutely every song he has ever written throughout his whole career; cd's, mixtapes, freestyles, etc. To sum up my life, you should really know that I care about my friends and family more than anything. I believe that honesty and respect are the two most important attributes to find in a person. I would do anything in this world to meet Lil Wayne. And I especially look forward to spending these next four years at Florida Gulf Coast making the best memories and meeting some great people!

I am the exact same way with music! I love anything and everything. If you look through all my genres, you'll never be able to guess my favorites. I just like it to be eclectic. So I hope one day you can meet Lil Wayne, you seem like such a big fan. Also, do you have a major yet or are you undecided?
ReplyDeleteHey Arianna! Its so nice to see such a nicely written blog, I really enjoyed reading it and learning about your life. I can completely relate to the fact that your family relies on one another because mine is the same way. I love tattoos and am glad to hear that yours is so meaningful to you. I plan on getting one within the next few months in Miami, being diabetic, I am getting a gray ribbon the says cured above it with the date I was diagnosed and a dash representing that I am not cured yet but plan to be. Although I am not into rap music its awesome to hear that you love the art of music. My roommate and I just recently had 5th row tickets to Chris young and Jason Aldean. It turned out to be one of the best nights of my life. I look forward to reading your blogs and seeing you in class.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, I know exactly what you mean. Also, my major is Resort and Hospitality Management, which I'm pretty excited about.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mitch for the great response. I think your tattoo sounds awesome; I hate when people get the most ridiculous tattoo's, it drives me crazy. Let me know when you get yours done because I'd love to see it. I'm sure that concert you went to was amazing, it sure sounds like it!
